Fatal Single Vehicle Crash In Huron County

Authorities in Huron County are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred early this morning in Oliver Township.
Dispatchers say the call came in around 3:30 a.m. on Berne Road, just west of Elkton Road, after passersby discovered a severely damaged car in a roadside ditch. The vehicle's sole occupant, a 40-year-old woman, was found outside the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary findings suggest the vehicle was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed and may have failed to stop at the intersection with Elkton Road. Investigators believe the car continued through the intersection, lost control, and rolled multiple times before coming to rest.
Responding agencies included the Huron County Sheriff's Office, the county medical examiner, Oliver Township Fire Department, and Elkton Ambulance.
The victim has been identified as Lindsey L. Miller. Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
