Michigan State Police Bomb Squad Respond To Call In Lapeer

At about 5 p.m. Monday, March 30, the Lapeer Police Department responded to a call at the McDonald's restaurant on Main Street.

The call was for a suspicious package left there. Military style ammunition was found in the dining area.

The Michigan State Police's Bomb Squad was called in. They determined that the ammunition was safe, but until that decision was made the restaurant was shut down while the incident was being investigated.
