A former Fairgrove Village bank at 2037 Main St., which has housed several different businesses over the years, has a new owner.

Evan Osentoski, of Osentoski Realty and Auctioneering, told the board the original bid on the old bank building didn't work out.

Osentoski brought an offer of $43,000 this time, which the board accepted.

With that decided, the board authorized Township Supervisor Mike Day to sign all the necessary paperwork to sell the bank building.

The township bought the old bank for $3,700 in 2018 and did several upgrades.

At one time, there had been hopes of housing a museum there, but that didn't workout.

Overall bank is well-maintained, solidly built, and the township paid to have a new roof put on, the corbels repaired, and tuck-pointing done to the exterior bricks.

During the meeting, it was noted there were two bids to remove the fence at the cemetery.

Also, the board selected the $4,100 bid of Mike Turner when he shows proof of insurance.
