Fremont Township Decides to Use Lawyer Only When Necessary

The need to have legal counsel at the Fremont Township Planning Commission meeting it was discussed at the last board of trustees meeting.
However, the planning commission chair said he didn't think that is necessary to have an attorney at all meetings.
The board agreed to have legal counsel attend meetings only when necessary.
During the meeting, it was reported the township Supervisor Matt Blatt had contacted the Tuscola County Road Commission to get an estimate to work on the Brown Road project.
Blatt also stated that he is going to hold off on the Phelps Lake project until the weather is nicer so that the surveyor can get out there to see what will be needed.
The board also set the 2026 township meetings to be at 7 p.m. the second Thursday of every month at the Fremont Township Hall located at 4850 Mertz Road (M-24).
