Shane Lee Cook Jr. faced arraignment Monday on multiple felony charges, including several counts of absconding or forfeiting bond, which carry a maximum sentence of up to four years in prison, and tampering with an electronic monitoring device, punishable by up to two years.

Prosecutors emphasized Cook's history as a flight risk, noting this his failure to appear in court and detailing an incident where he allegedly fought police and fell into a drainage ditch during an apprehension attempt. They requested a $150,000 cash surety bond for each case to ensure his return.

The judge ultimately set bond at $10,000, 10% in each of the three cases.

Attorney Elizabeth Weisenbach has been appointed to represent Cook, with a probable cause conference scheduled for February 12th, 2026, and a preliminary examination set for February 23rd, 2026.
