Michigan's governor has announced she will present her last annual address to state lawmakers on the evening of February 25th, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The speech will take place in the state House chamber with both legislative bodies in attendance and will be televised statewide.
The governor plans to outline initiatives building upon achievements from her tenure, including tax reductions totaling $1 billion for retirees and working households, universal free school lunch programs, residential construction projects, and infrastructure improvements.
Her upcoming proposals are expected to address employment growth, cost reduction measures, educational funding and literacy programs, and housing development.
This marks the governor's seventh year in office, and she described the address as an opportunity to present her agenda for continued bipartisan cooperation on state priorities.
