Chad Walter Mitchell To Receive New Counsel

In the case of State of Michigan v. Chad Walter Mitchell, a court hearing addressed defense attorney Kyle T. O'Mara's motion to withdraw from the case.

The court granted O'Mara's request, noting that Mr. Mitchell did not object to the substitution. Ms. Elizabeth B. Weisenbach was appointed as the new counsel, and Mr. Mitchell was instructed to contact her promptly.

The hearing also discussed an allegation of a bond violation against Mitchell.

While a contested hearing for the bond violation was deferred to allow new counsel to prepare, the judge issued a stern warning to Mitchell about adhering to bond conditions, emphasizing that violations could lead to loss of freedom.

A new court date has yet to be determined.
