Lapeer County Commissioners Keep Everything the Same in 2026

When the Lapeer County Commissioners met for the first time this year, they conducted a reorganizational meeting.
Nothing changed during reorganization. District #2 Commissioner Gary Howell was reappointed as chairman of the board for the year, and District #4 Commissioner Brad Haggadone was reappointed as vice chair.
The board will continue to conduct committee of the whole meetings on the second Thursday of every month and full board meetings on the fourth Thursday, all at 9 a.m., except when there is a holiday.
Appointments to subcommittees were also approved.
Personnel will be chaired by Haggadone.
The Policies and Procedures Committee will be chaired by Commissioner Greg Wise.
The properties committee will be chaired by Commissioner Bryan Zender.
The Materials Management Committee will be chaired by Howell, and the Information Technology Committee will be chaired by Commissioner Scott McMahan.
Committees meet on an as-needed basis and they make recommendations to the full board.
The board also approved having county offices closed in 2026 on Jan. 19, Feb. 16, May 25, June 19, July 3, Sept. 7, Nov. 11, 26, and 27, and Dec. 25 and 31.
