Sanilac County Commissioners' Hierarchy Remains the Same.

Although the Sanilac County Board of Commissioners conducted its annual reorganizational meeting this month, nothing changed.
District #1 Commissioner Jon Block was re-elected as chair and District #2 Commissioner Roger Ballard was re-elected as vice-chairman.
District #1 covers the townships of Bridgehampton, Buel, Sanilac, Washington, and parts of Applegate and Carsonville, and Port Sanilac. Commission District #2 covers the townships of Argyle Evergreen, Lamotte, Marlette, and the City of Marlette
Block then reappointed District #4 Commissioner Bill Sarkella as chairman of the finance and administration committee.
The board appointed Lexington Chief of Police Larry Sheldon to the drug task force board as the representative of the police chief's association.
In other matters, commissioners approved renewing the millage for the drug task force, and for that proposal to be on the ballot for the Aug. 4 primary election.
