Food Distribution Set For Senior Citizens Only

There will be a "Focus: Hope" free food distribution on Jan. 15th, at the Huron Expo Center.

Focus: HOPE is a Free food program for seniors who are at least 60-years old.

The program offers a variety of foods like milk, canned goods, vegetables, cereal, and more in boxes.

The program became available in the Thumb a few months ago.

It is estimated there are more than 2,000 seniors in the Thumb counties who could qualify for the program. A family of two, for instance, making $25,636 a year or less qualifies.
