The Lapeer Community School District's Board of Education conducted its annual reorganization during this month's meeting.

The board reappointed Summer Putnam as board president, and Craig Watson was selected as vice president, Lisa Novak was selected as secretary.

The district always has the Assistant Superintendent of Business Mark Rajter serve on the board of education as treasruer, and Mary Moss will continue as the board's recording secretary.

During the meeting, the board approved the $349,188 bid from New Adventure Development and Construction for new playground equipment at the Rolland-Warner campus.

Beside new playground equipment, the bid also included constructing a pavilion that students and staff can use.

Those projects are about the only ones remaining to be done as part of the upgrades and improvements from the bond proposal voters passed two years ago.
