Michigan Schools On High Alert After Bomb Threat Voicemails

Several K-12 schools across Michigan are on heightened alert after receiving threatening voicemails on Monday. According to Michigan State Police, the messages - believed to be computer-generated - claimed that explosive devices had been placed in the schools and warned of violence if the devices were moved.

Schools affected so far are located in Gogebic, Gratiot, Lake, Saginaw, and St. Clair counties.

Authorities, including OK2SAY and the Michigan Incident Command Center, say the threats are likely hoaxes intended to provoke a response, similar to incidents reported in 2023. Police continue to investigate.
