Jamar Brewer of Flint was sentenced Monday to 300 days in jail for possession of a firearm and an additional 30 days for contempt of court, with credit for 33 days already served.
The case began when law enforcement responded to his girlfriend's residence, where she reported he had a gun in violation of his probation.
During a previous court appearance, Brewer's then-girlfriend caused a disturbance and had to be removed from the courtroom twice.
Brewer failed to appear for a scheduled court date on December 15th, 2025, later explaining to the judge that he and his girlfriend had traveled to Las Vegas to get married without authorization from the court or his probation officer.
A bench warrant was issued, leading to his arrest.
