Otter Lake Request For an All Season Road Approved

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) approved a request by the Otter Lake Village Council.
MDOT agreed to having Main Street through the village from Lake Road to Otter Lake Road as a "All Season Route" on a map.
The council approved several amendments and budget adjustments as part of getting ready for the next fiscal year.
During the meeting, draft copies of the proposed 2026-2027 budget were distributed for review.
With that done, the council set the public hearing on the proposed budget to be done at 7:15 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 2.
After the hearing, the council is expected to adopt the budget and to set the millage rates to be levied to support it.
In order to prepare to do that, it was determined that the downtown development authority (DDA) needs to finalize their budget during the week starting on Monday, Jan. 19.
It was noted the village's new website is expected to be operational by the end of January.
