The Tuscola County Board of Commissioners will conduct a meeting of the whole at 8 a.m, Monday, Jan. 12th in the boardroom at the Purdy Building, 125 West Lincoln St., Caro.
Although it is listed on the preliminary agenda, it is questionable if a member of the county's road commission will attend the meeting.
County commissioners requested a member of the road commission attend a previous meeting and directed the road commission to place additional safety measures at six intersections, but neither request happened.
Because county commissioners are unhappy with the road commission, they have talked about removing the board, appointing new members, and/or taking over road operations.
Some of the other items on the preliminary agenda include having commissioner Nancy Barrios, who is a liaison to the road commission, present a speed study on Hurds Corner Road.
That intersection has had a number of crashes and several fatalities, which sparked the demand for that and other intersections to have additional warning signals added.
Commissioners will also review possible language for a ballot proposal to fund 9-1-1.
