Fatal Crash In Kenockee Township

Authorities are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday night in Kenockee Township.
According to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, emergency crews were called to Kilgore Road, north of Imlay City Road, around 7:24 p.m. on January 10th following reports of a rollover crash with one person ejected from the vehicle. CPR was being performed when first responders arrived.
An initial investigation indicates that a northbound 2016 Chevrolet Silverado lost control on snow and ice covered roads, left the roadway, and overturned in the west ditch. The 37 year old driver, a Kenockee Township resident and sole occupant, was thrown from the vehicle. He was transported to McLaren Port Huron Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Deputies said alcohol and drugs are not believed to be contributing factors, and the investigation remains ongoing.
