Drivers crossing Bay City's Liberty and Independence Bridges could see changes to their tolls beginning next year, but residents and out-of-town motorists would be affected differently.

Bay City Bridge Partners has proposed new rates for 2027, including a fifty-cent increase for nonresidents using a bridge pass, regardless of vehicle class.

Motorists paying by mail would see their tolls rise by two dollars.

For Bay City residents with valid passes, rates would remain unchanged in the first two vehicle classes, while the third class would see a reduction from eight dollars to six.

The changes are not yet final and would take effect January first if approved.

Bridge Partners is accepting public feedback for thirty days, with comments submitted by email or traditional mail.
