Man in Critical Condition After Rereational Vehicle Crash

At approximately 3:40PM on February 26th, 2026 a crash occured between a passenger vehicle and a side-by-side recreational vehicle. The Huron County Sheriff Department, Port Hope Fire, and East Huron EMS responded to the call. On scene, the man in the side-by-side was found in the ditch with a wound to the head. Flight Support was requested for the driver of the ATV.

The driver of the side-by-side is currently in critical condition.

The crash was caused by the car failing to stop at the posted stop sign of the intersection.
