The CAN Council turned up the Mardi Gras spirit Thursday night, transforming Horizons Conference Center into a slice of New Orleans - all to stand up for children in mid-Michigan.

Guests bid on auction prizes, enjoyed Cajun cuisine, and raised their glasses for a cause that hits close to home: supporting the region's child advocacy center. The center works directly with young survivors of physical and sexual abuse, providing critical services in some of their most difficult moments.

Organizers say while final numbers are still being counted, early projections point to what could be their most successful fundraiser yet.

In a night filled with music and celebration, the focus stayed clear - helping local children find safety, support, and a path forward.
