A single-vehicle traffic crash on Pigeon Road in Huron County is under investigation after the second vehicle involved left the scene.
At approximately 3:23 p.m. on February 23rd, 2026, a passenger car was traveling eastbound on Pigeon Road in Oliver Township when a pickup truck attempted to pass it in the same direction. The passing vehicle sideswiped the car on the driver's side front area, causing functional damage, and then continued eastbound without stopping.
The car, a gray 2019 Nissan Versa, was being driven by a 22 year old from Pigeon and was headed straight on a non-divided roadway at the time of the collision. No injuries were reported, and airbags did not deploy.
The hit-and-run pickup truck is described only as a gray pickup, with the driver and registration unknown. The Huron County Sheriff's Office is handling the report and asks anyone with information on the eastbound gray pickup involved in the February 23rd crash on Pigeon Road to contact the sheriff's department.
