Several upgrades were approved to be done to the Marion Township Hall at 204 East Main St., by the township's board of trustees during this month's meeting.
Both the men's and the women's restrooms will have some renovations done by VanSIckle Plumbing along with replacing and/or repairing nonfunctioning fixtures.
The interior and the exterior of the township hall will be painted by Xtreme Quality.
Also, approval was given to have Franzel Electric repair the lights in the hall.
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) federal funds the township received to offset the COVID pandemic will be used to cover the cost of those repairs and upgrades.
In other matters, approval was given to allow meetings to be attended by phone for those who cannot attend the meeting in person.
Also, the board decided to postpone discussion on renaming of the overlay district until after the first of the year.
The next township meeting will be at 7 p.m., on Jan. 6, 2026.
