The Bad Axe Public School District conducted the state mandated evaluation of its superintendent.
The board's evaluation of Superintendent Greg Newland was that he is "effective" as an administrator, which is the top ranking.
The evaluation ranks are effective, minimal effective, and ineffective.
Administrators are evaluated every two to three years after three consecutive years of ratings of being effective.
The evaluation takes into consideration several factors and complicated regulations for the board of education to use to make their determination on what rank should be given.
Newland was appointed as the interim superintendent for Bad Schools in 2013 and hired as superintendent in 2014.
Before that he was the district's middle school principal.
