The status quo of the Tuscola County Commissioners continues.

Because none of the commissioners on the board are new, the organization of the board can be done in December and they do not need to retake the oath of office, explained Tuscola County Clerk Jodi Fetting.

During Monday's organization, the board selected a chair, a vice chair, set the date and times of meetings, and chose who serves on standing committees.

The board voted to keep Commissioner Kim Vaughan for two years chair and for Thom Bardwell to continue as vice chair for one year.

Those who serve on committees will stay the same.

Bardwell and Commissioner Matt Koch will continue to serve on the finance committee.

Commissioners Nancy Barrios and Vaughan will continue to serve on the personnel committee.

Serving on the building and grounds committee will be Bill Lutz and Matt Koch.

The board will continue to conduct committee of the whole meetings at 8 a.m. on the second and fourth Mondays, and they will continue with board meetings at 8 a.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays as the calendar allows.

The meetings will be in the boardroom at the Purdy Building at 125 West Lincoln St., Caro.
