Bad Axe Schools to Conduct a Special Meeting Regarding Schools

The Bad Axe Public School District's Board of Education will conduct a special meeting at 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, March 5 in the high school media center.
The reason for the meeting is to collect feedback from stakeholders regarding the proposed consolidation of the district's schools.
District residents are encouraged to attend to express their opinion and to learn more about the proposal before the board takes any action.
In other district matters, the board recently conducted an organizational meeting.
Jim Hass was selected as president. Nick Checkley was selected as vice president. Ken Guza will serve as secretary, and Briynne McCrea is the treasurer.
Others who serve on the board as Trustees are Maria Prescott, Mike Sutherland, and Amanda Lang.
They set the board meetings to be at 7:15 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month in the high school media center.
Committee assignments were also made.
Serving on the personnel/finance committee will be Hass, Lang, and McCrea.
Serving on the buildings and grounds committee are Checkley, McCrea, and Prescott.
Checkley, McCrea, Prescott will serve on the curriculum committee.
Serving on the policy committee will be Guza, Lang, and Sutherland, and serving on the quality committee will be Checkley, McCrea, and Prescott.
