Because of the cost, the Argyle Township Board of Trustees approved only doing one tube replacement next year.
Putting in a tube under Shabbona Road East of Bulgrien Road will cost in the range of $21,000 to 23,000 to replace.
After learning that, the board decided replacing the tube on Stone Road East of Freburger Road can wait for another year or two.
During discussion about the fire department, it was noted the department decided not to paint the rescue truck and leave it blue.
It was also reported, the department responded to a wood stove fire and a car fire, and that new tires and rims were to be installed on the new rescue truck as needed.
In other matters, the board approved contracting with Jeff Romzek for snow removal on the township property, and it was reported the Sanilac County Building permits and inspection fees will be increasing.
Also, the board decided to table the review of a workable wind energy ordinance until all of the board members could be at a meeting.
