Bay City Man Charged In Child Exploitation Investigation

A 55 year old Bay City man has been arrested following a Michigan State Police investigation into the possession and distribution of child sexually abusive material.
State police say Rodney Allan Rotarius was taken into custody after digital evidence was seized from his home during an investigation by the MSP Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Investigators allege Rotarius uploaded files containing child sexually abusive material to the internet.
Rotarius faces three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
The MSP Computer Crimes Unit urges parents and guardians to talk with children about safe internet use.
