Novesta Township Paying More to Brine Roads

Keeping the dust down on gravel Roads is costing more this year.

During the last meeting of the Novesta Township Board of Trustees, the board approved doing an additional brining application.

Supervisor Chad Daniels explained during a special meeting, that there would be an application of brine done in September, but it is going to cost more.

The cost of the brining solution increased to 19.5 cents per gallon.

Because of the increased cost, this month's brining application will cost about $15,795.

In other township matters, the board approved adopting a public nuisance ordinance, and a fee schedule was also adopted for ordinance violations.
