Homicide Charge Filed In Fatal Stabbing On Michigan Bike Path

A 60 year old Kimball Township man has been charged with open murder following the death of a stabbing victim injured in an October altercation.
The incident occurred on the evening of October 12th, 2025, on the Wadhams to Avoca bike path in St. Clair County, where two men became involved in a physical confrontation that resulted in one being stabbed. The victim, 68 year old Alvis Miranda of Port Huron, sought medical treatment on his own, while the suspect later contacted authorities after returning home.
Miranda succumbed to his injuries on October 28th, 2025, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Following an investigation, authorities arrested Robert Barr on December 16th, 2025.
He was arraigned in the 72nd District Court, where bond was set at $250,000 cash/surety.
