Saginaw Public Schools is urging students and families to stay alert following reports of threats near Success Academy.
District officials say multiple students reported being threatened while walking to school by unknown people wearing black masks and riding in a red Chevrolet Malibu with tinted windows.
The school district notified law enforcement and requested additional police patrols in the surrounding neighborhood.
Officials are asking students, staff and families to pay close attention to their surroundings. Anyone who sees a vehicle matching the description is being told not to approach or confront the occupants. Instead, they should move to a safe location and call 9-1-1.
As of the latest information available, authorities have not publicly identified the people reportedly involved or announced any arrests.
Success Academy is part of Saginaw Public Schools and is located on Tuscola Street in Saginaw.
