A Vassar Teen Is Killed In Accident At Delta College

A 17 year old from Vassar has died following an accident while working on a vehicle in a parking lot at Delta College.
The incident happened Tuesday afternoon, September 22nd, at the college's main campus in Bay County.
According to Delta College Public Safety, the teenager was working beneath a vehicle when it slipped off a jack and fell on him.
Campus police responded shortly before 1:30 p.m., along with the Bay County Sheriff's Office, Frankenlust Fire Rescue and Medstar Ambulance Service.
Despite emergency crews' efforts to save him, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the teen's identity or provided additional details about the circumstances leading up to the accident.
The incident remains under investigation.
