Funeral Information

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 11am, at Saint Hubert Catholic Church-Sacred Heart Parish in Bad Axe, MI. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Monday, November 4th from 1-8pm or Tuesday, November 5th at the church from 10am, until the time of service at 11am. A scripture service will be offered on Monday, November 4th at 7pm, at the funeral home. Memorials may be offered to the Alzheimer's Association or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Family of the Deceased

She is survived by two sons: Michael (Marcia) Talaski of Rockford, MI. Mark (Kim) Talaski of Wyoming, MI. One Sister: Rose Eileen Ruff of Bloomer, WI. Three grandchildren: Kathryn (TOdd) Griffin of Denver, CO. Rachel (Tom) Charno of Grand Rapids, MI. Nicholas Talaski of Grand Rapids, MI. One great grandson: Brooks Griffin of Denver, CO. Also serveral nieces and newphews. Predeceased by: Four brothers: James "Riley"; Arthur; Charles; and Jack Quinn. Five Sisters: Helen Markee; Lucille Harper; Clare McMann; Ann Brown; and Betty McGowan.

Biography

Jeanie Q. Talaski, age 83, of Bad Axe, MI, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe. She was born on August 255, 1930 in Pinnebog, MI, daughter of the late Martin and Laura (Malpass) Quinn. She married Bernard T. Talaski on June 16, 1951 in St Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Pigeon, MI. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1993. Jeanie retired as a loan officer from Signature Bank where served for over 30 years. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing Bridge as well as other card games. She volunteered in the Clothe-a-Child program through Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
