A Bay City man has admitted to charges that he solicited explicit images from a Huron County minor and distributed them to another person.
Christopher A. Tallman, 20, pleaded no contest in Huron County 52nd Circuit Court to child sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a crime, avoiding a February 2026 trial under a plea agreement. Prosecutors will dismiss a charge of accosting a child for immoral purposes and will not seek habitual offender status, with both sides stipulating to a prison term of 29 to 57 months.
The case began in the spring when a parent reported to Pigeon police that Tallman used social media to ask their underage daughter for nude photos and videos, which she sent and he then shared with another person whose seized phone led investigators back to Tallman. The felony counts each carry potential maximum sentences of up to 20 years in prison, and Tallman must register as a sex offender for 25 years and could be ordered to serve his sentences consecutively. Sentencing is set for Monday, February 2nd, at 9 a.m., and Tallman remains held in the Huron County Jail pending that hearing. His bond has been cancelled.
