On February 3, 2025, at approximately 12:15 PM, Deputy Bock was dispatched to a residence on S. Vassar Road in Millington Township following a report of a breaking and entering that had just occurred. The homeowner called 911 after hearing someone attempting to enter the home and discovering a male suspect inside. The homeowner armed himself with a firearm and confronted the suspect, who subsequently fled the scene in a vehicle.
The homeowner was able to provide a description of the suspect's vehicle to Tuscola County Central Dispatch, prompting the deployment of additional law enforcement units to search the area. While officers were conducting their search, another breaking and entering call was received from Willard Road in Millington Township, occurring just prior to the Vassar Road incident. The vehicle description provided for this second incident matched that of the suspect's vehicle.
Officer Todd Brow of the Frankenmuth Police Department, who was patrolling the western portions of Tuscola and Arbela Townships, joined the search. Officer Brow successfully located the suspect vehicle on Bray Road in Arbela Township and coordinated with Tuscola County units. The male suspect was apprehended without incident.
The suspect, a 49-year-old male from Flint, is currently lodged in the Tuscola County Jail, facing breaking and entering charges, and is awaiting arraignment.
This investigation remains ongoing under the jurisdiction of the Tuscola County Sheriff's Office. Information posted here may change based on the continued investigation.
