Renovation to Cause Closure of Bad Axe Library (Huron County)

The Bad Axe Area District Library has some long awaited renovations planned during the month of February. Opening in March of 1913, the library had originally been located above City Hall. Of course over time, upgrades and changes are required to keep the library up to date
With $250,000 from a previously awarded state grant, along with some of the with the library's own funding, work to to make the planned repairs and upgrades will be possible through the entire month. During this timeframe, however, the Library's staff have suggested bookworms out there keep in mind the following:
* Last day for book check out is Saturday, Feb. 1st.
* Accounts in good standing can exceed the maximum number of books checked out, until the library reopens.
* Your Bad Axe Library card CAN be used at the Harbor Beach Library, Sleeper Public Library, Pigeon District Library and Rawson Memorial Library, as well.
* E-Books and other digital media can be accessed through the library's "Libby" app.
