The November General Election created some changes in the village of Akron, and because of that a special meeting in December was called.
The village president is now Roxanne Huizar instead of Robert Hill. Because of that Hill's name had to be changed over into Huizar's name on all financial documents.
Hall's name was removed from North Star's Certificates of Deposits (CDs), bank accounts, on the United States Department of Agriculture paperwork, and the CAT-B paperwork. Huizar's name was put on all of those documents.
Also, the CDs at Team One Credit Union that were in Michael Kay Vollmar's name were changed over to Huizar's name.
After the meeting was adjourned, there was a brief discussion on the CAT-B funding, and Huizar requested the clerk to ask the village's CPA about the funding, according to the minutes.
It was noted the money was from the railroad that was paid to the village when the street was closed, the money from that should be enough to finish fixing Main Street.
Also, the title of supervisor was removed from the DPW worker.
