Please advise your listeners and readers that on Wednesday January 8th the shutdown of the County Building for generator work will likely cause issues with the administrative phone line to several departments. This includes Central Dispatch admin lines.
The public can dial 911 to contact Central Dispatch for all needs on January 8th. The 911 lines are separate application from the administrative phone system and WILL be operational. Text to 911 may be interrupted by the County Building project to loss of internet connections so please call 911 on January 8.
If your call to 911 on January 8th is not an emergency the Dispatchers may place you on hold to process other calls that may be an emergency.
Thank you in advance for your patience. The generator project at the County Building is a very important update to ensure government functions can continue in the event of an extended power outage.
Again, on Wednesday January 8th only, if you need non-emergency services for Police, Fire or EMS or other questions and cannot get through on the 269-6421 admin line please call 911 and the Dispatchers will prioritize the emergency calls over non-emergency calls to get everyone the assistance needed.
