Oliver Township obtains cemetery records (Huron County)

During the last meeting of the Oliver Township Board of Trustees, it was reported a key piece of the area's history was able to be secured.
Township Clerk Bob Sweeney reported that Oliver Township's cemetery records have been secured from the Elkton Area History Society, which has the names and dates of everyone who is buried there listed.
Sweeney noted that the November General Election had a "huge number" of early voting, absentee voting and regular voting done.
However, there was one problem that was encountered during the election with the electronic poll book computer. The computer failed at about 5:30 p.m. on Election Day, and that issue had to be addressed.
Because of that, the township will have to buy a new laptop to replace that one, but the board took no action to do so at that meeting.
