Missing Man's Body Found in Frankenmuth (Saginaw County)

A missing man's body has been recently recovered from the Cass River, in the Heritage Park area of Frankenmuth.
Robert Bacon, was last seen near the Bavarian Inn on December 27th, for a family gathering. He had departed to change his clothes and return to meet one of his daughters, but in the mean time... Disappeared.
He was reported missing to local police a few days later on December 30th. The sudden disappearance of Robert, who was also a veteran of the United States Navy, had quickly gained national media attention. An extensive multi-agency, five day long search had resulted in the finding of Bacon's body by police dive teams, on January 4th. As of this time, officials have indicated that the initial cause of death seems to be drowning, but the investigation is still an ongoing process, so the Saginaw County Medical Examiner's Office will have the final word.
