Small Plane Crash-Lands at Caro Airport

Around the 5:00pm hour of September 30th, Michigan State troopers from the Caro post were called out to investigate a crashed plane in the area of the Caro Airport. The pilot was attempting a landing, and his 1978 Aeropro lost power during descension, causing the plane to subsequently crash near the approach area of the runway.

The pilot of the plane, who is from the Caro area, was fortunately uninjured in the crash. Michigan State Police troopers from the Caro post were assisted on scene by the Caro Police and Fire Departments, the MMR, and the Tuscola County Sheriff's Office. The FAA has now taken over the current investigation into the crash.
