The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) issued a notice about a highway project that will be starting soon in St. Clair County.

The resurfacing of M-19 will start on July 15 with an anticipated completion date of Aug. 29. The work on M-19, which will be from the city of Memphis to I-69, will include paver placed surface seal, fog seal, corrugations, pavement markings, and shoulder gravel. The estimated cost for the highway upgrade is $1.5 million, and it will employ 18 people.

While the work is being done there will be single-lane closures that will be implemented daily. Two-way traffic will be maintained with traffic regulators.
The work is being done to extend the lifespan of the roadway and to ensure a smoother driving service.
