Man Charged In Saginaw Shooting That Occured At Kuli's Korner

In Saginaw, a 40 year old man is facing several felony charges following a shooting earlier this month.

Authorities say Demarius Laury was arraigned Monday before a Saginaw County judge on charges including assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and felony firearm. The assault charge carries a possible life sentence if he's convicted.

Police say the incident happened around 7:15 p.m. on April 1st at a business on Mackinaw Street. A 31 year old man later showed up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound and was reported to be in stable condition.

Investigators say the shooting followed an argument that escalated into a physical altercation prior to gunfire. The case remains under investigation.
