New Sentencing Date On Record For Bacigalupo in Wire Fraud Case

BAY COUNTY, Mich. - A new sentencing date in federal court has been scheduled for the former director of Bay City's State Theater. According to court records from the United States District Court Eastern District of Michigan, Mike Bacigalupo is set to appear for sentencing on April 24 at 1:30 p.m.
Bacigalupo was scheduled to be sentenced in court on Monday, Feb. 23. Bacigalupo pled guilty to wire fraud, in a scheme that sent the State Theater into bankruptcy. The claims revolved around two large loans he secured for the theater, money that was instead spent on a project in Wenonah Park.
Wire fraud is a felony that carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
