One out of three families in the Thumb are struggling finacially.
According to the ALICE Project over 30,000 local households earn less than the cost of living in the Thumb, including 6,500 families with children, and over 12,500 senior citizens.
Thumb Community Health Partnership is sponsoring a personal product drive now through Tuesday February 14, and items can be dropped off at your local health department.
Products that are accepted ;
*toothpaste
*deodorant
*feminine products
*diapers
*shampoo
*soaps
*laundry detergent
You can drop your donations off at the following health departments;
*Huron County, 1142 South Vandyke Road, Bad Axe
*Laeer County, 1800 Imlay City Road, Lapeer (use front door)
*Sanilac County, 171 N. Dawson Street, Sandusky
*Tuscola County, 1309 Cleaver Road, Suite B, Caro
