Lapeer City to hold three back to back virtual meetings

   The city of Lapeers Planning Commission will do virtual hearings on Thursday, Aug. 13 on several issues.
    At 6:30 p.m., the commission will consider a request by TK Terminal LLC to rezone a parcel of land from R-1 single-family residential of I-1 industrial. The property at 155 S. Saginaw St. is used as a warehouse.
    Also, the commission will consider a request from Keith and Shannon Jordan to rezone a parcel of property from RM-1 Multiple-Family Residential to OS-1 Office Service, B-1 Neighborhood Business or B-2 General Business.
    The facility is a vacant church building at 550 S. Saginaw St.
    And, the commission will consider at request from Mark LaBaza for a text amendment. The current language states that all parcels between Tower Street and Turrill Road with frontage of M-24 are prohibited from having a drive-through restaurant.
    The proposed amendment would read "drive-through restaurants are prohibited on parcels located completely between Tower Street and Trrill Road and fronting on M-24."
