For the second day- COVID-19 cases in the state top 2000

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 2,015 more COVID-19 cases were detected over the last 24 hours.

There are now 143,106 cases of the virus in the state, and there were 14 more deaths for a total of 6,987 fatal cases.

There are also 16,013 probable cases of the virus that are being monitored after 191 more were added, and there are 330 probable deaths to be reviewed after 1 was added.

A probable case means there is a possibility a person was exposed to the virus or has possible symptoms of the virus so they are being monitored. A probable death means the death is being studied further to determine if it was COVID-19-caused.

Two more brings Huron County's number of cases to 210, with 43 probable cases being monitored. Deaths remain at 5.

- Tuscola County now has 495 COVID-19 cases after 11 more were detected, and there are 78 probable cases that are being monitored after 5 more were added. Deaths remain at 34.
- Sanilac County's numbers remain steady with 156 cases, and there are still 7 probable cases being monitored. Deaths remain at 6, with 1 probable death still to be reviewed.
- Lapeer County has 646 COVID-19 cases after 17 more were detected, and there are 126 probable cases being monitored after 2 were removed. Deaths remain at 37 with 1 probable death still to be reviewed.

Twelve more brings Bay County's number of cases to 1,092. There are still 107 probable cases being monitored. Deaths in the county from the virus remain at 55.

- Midland County has 653 cases after 11 more were detected, and there are also 128 probable cases being monitored after 3 were added. Deaths from the virus remain at 13.
- Saginaw County has 3,116 confirmed cases of the virus after 24 more were detected, and there are 222 probable cases being monitored after 2 were added. Deaths remain at 143 with 5 probable deaths to still be reviewed.
- One more death brings the number of fatal COVID-19 cases in Genesee County to 295, and there are still 26 probable deaths to be reviewed. There are 4,863 confirmed cases after 110 more were detected, and there are 948 probable cases being monitored after 7 more were added.

The confirmation of 186 more brings Oakland County's number of cases to 18,306. There are also 4,446 probable cases that are being monitored after 5 were removed. COVID-19 has killed 1,173 people in that county, and there are still 51 probable deaths to be reviewed.

- The confirmation of 18 more brings St. Clair County's cases of the virus to 1,063, with 193 probable cases being monitored after 18 more were added. Deaths remain at 61 with 1 probable case still waiting to be reviewed.
- Four more deaths brings Macomb County's number of fatal COVID-19 cases to 1,010, and there are still 49 probable deaths to be reviewed. There are also 15,819 cases of the virus after 211 more were confirmed. And, there are also 932 probable cases being monitored after 8 were removed.
- The confirmation of 53 more brings Detroit City's number of cases of the virus to 14,881. Also, there are 1,215 probable cases that are being monitored after 12 were added. COVID-19 related deaths remain at 1,545, with 117 probable cases still being monitored.
- Wayne County now has 20,083 confirmed cases after 178 more were detected, and there are also 1,772 probable cases that are being monitored after 6 were added. Deaths remain at 1,305, with 50 probable deaths to still be reviewed.
