There were 2030 new COVID-19 cases detected over the last 24 hours

Over the last 24 hours the number of COVID-19 cases in Michigan has increased by more than 2,000.

The number of cases in the state is now 141,091 after 2,030 more were detected, according to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Fatal cases of the virus now stand at 6,973 after 32 more deaths occurred.

However, of those 32 deaths, 21 were detected during a review of vital records.

Also, there are 15,822 probable cases of the virus that are being monitored 482 more were added to be watched.

There are also now 329 probable deaths to be reviewed after 2 were added.

A probable case means there is a possibility a person was exposed to the virus or has possible symptoms of the virus so they are being monitored. A probable death means the death is being studied further to determine if it was COVID-19 caused.

Huron County's numbers remain steady with 208 cases, with 43 probable cases being monitored. Deaths still remain at 5.

- One more brings Tuscola County's number of cases of the virus to 484, with 73 probable cases still being monitored. The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 remains at 34.
- Sanilac County has 156 cases after 2 were added, and there are still 7 probable cases being monitored. Deaths remain at 6, with 1 probable death still to be reviewed.
- In Lapeer County, there are 629 cases after 18 more were detected. There are also 128 probable cases being monitored after 4 more were added. Deaths remain at 37 with 1 probable death still to be reviewed.

Bay County has 1,080 confirmed cases after 29 more were detected, and there are still 107 probable cases that are being monitored. Deaths in the county from the virus remain at 55.

- Midland County has 642 COVID-19 cases after 15 more were detected. And, there are 125 probable cases being monitored after 4 are added. Deaths from the virus remain at 13.
- The confirmation of 36 more brings Saginaw County's number of cases to 3,092, with 220 probable cases that are still being monitored. Deaths remain at 143 with 5 probable deaths to still be reviewed.
- Five more deaths over the last 24 hours brings the number of fatal COVID-19 cases in Genesee County to 294, and there are still 26 probable deaths to be reviewed. And, the confirmation of 85 more brings the total number of cases of the virus to 4,753. Plus, there are also 941 probable cases being monitored after 84 more were added.

Two more deaths brings the number of fatal COVID-19 cases in Oakland County to 1,173, and there are 51 probable deaths to still be reviewed. Also, there are 18,120 cases of the virus after 186 more were detected. Plus, there are also 4,451 probable cases that are being monitored after 61 more were added.

- One additional death brings St. Clair County's number of fatal COVID-19 cases to 61, with 1 probable death still to be reviewed. There are 1,045 cases after 14 more were detected, and there are 175 probable cases being monitored after 1 was added.
- Eight more deaths brings Macomb County's number of fatal COVID-19 cases to 1,006, and there are still 49 probable deaths to be reviewed. The confirmation of 166 more brings the number of cases of the virus to 15,608, with 940 probable cases being monitored after 63 more were added.
- Two more deaths brings Detroit City's number of fatal COVID-19 cases to 1,545, with 117 probable deaths still to be reviewed. There are also 14,828 cases of the virus after 40 more were detected. Plus, there are also 1,203 probable cases that are being monitored after 10 were added.
- There were 4 more deaths in Wayne County over the last 24 hours for a total of 1,305 COVID-19 caused deaths. Plus, there are still 50 probable deaths to be reviewed. There are also 19,905 confirmed cases of the virus after 151 additional were detected, and there are also 1,766 probable cases that are being monitored after 75 more were added.
