In dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions imposed because of it, many things had to be done differently.

One of the things that had to be done differently was the recognition of the retirement of a long time employee.

Although LaVerne Franks retired at the end of the 2019-2020 school year, the event went by without recognition.

Due to the pandemic and Governor's Executive Orders, the district was unable to provide a formal "Thank You" and best wishes.

That was finally able to be done, and a plaque was presented.
