Retiring Sanilac Treasurer Honored with a County Resolution

A veteran Sanilac County employee was honored during Sanilac Commissioners meeting.

Trudy Bowers, who is retiring from the county after 14 years of public service, was honored with a county resolution.

She started working for the county in 2012 when she was appointed as treasurer. She went on to be elected four more times to that position

During that time, Bowers served on several committees and boards, including the board of public health, the budget committee, election commission as well as the land bank authority board and on the water authority board.

The board noted they appreciated and are grateful for her service to the county.

Bowers' retirement is effective on Sept. 4.
