IRS increased Rate for Traveling Expense

Because the federal government realized the increased cost of gasoline and traveling, it has increased the amount that can be charged off for traveling.

The Internal Revenue Service increased the standard mileage rate from .72.5 cents per mile to .76 cents per mile traveled.

Also, the millage changed impacted for charities and medical. The milage rate for charities is now 14 cents per mile traveled, and the milage rate for medical is 23.5 cents per mile traveled.
