The Bay County Historical Society and the Historical Museum of Bay County will host a tour of the Bay City's City Hall tour tomorrow, Valentine's Day, from 11 a.m. to noon.
The cost is $1 per person.
The hall is listed in the National Archives of the Smithsonian as one of the most outstanding buildings in the U.S. It is one of the finest examples of municipal architecture in the modern Romanesque style and exemplifies one of many outstanding preservation efforts in Bay City.
The city hall was built between 1894 and 1897.
In 1980, the building was completely restored at a cost of $3.3 million. Then after a fire in 2010, the hall underwent a $5 million upgrade and rehabilitation.
The tour will leave from the museum lobby at 11 a.m.
And, Bay City is also hosting a special celebration on Saturday for those who didn't celebrate Valentine's Day.
The fifth annual Black Hearts Ball is at the Tavern 101 Restaurant at 101 Center Ave.
Join in the un-celebration of America's favorite Hallmark holiday by donning black garb and dancing the night away from 8 to 11 p.m. with live music.
The event is open to those who are looking for love, happily single, or have soulmates.
